I don't get BBC America, and the one VPN I found that actually worked turned out to be unethical, so I can't watch this, but did just read a review. Seriously, spoilers, so don't read this if you haven't seen it yet. I have no idea how to do cuts, either.

Anyway, so the Doctor makes a certain person immortal, because he hates losing people? Granted, he did not make Jack immortal, but he was unbelievably horrible to him after, which made me hate Ten with a passion. Now, it's okay? Now, he doesn't have a problem with someone who should not exist, who he can't even look at without feeling ill? Someone whose predecessor he abandons without a second thought, and then tries to 'fix up' as his last act before regenerating? "Here, you lost your lover and killed your grandson, but let me fix you up with Russell Tovey to make it all better, because even though I saved other companions loved ones, you only rate a fill-in." What? It's one thing if it's Jack, another if it's some cute little female? Not to mention deliberately condemning someone to losing everyone they ever love or care about? Or maybe we'll see Jack and this girl get together in the future, because Ianto was just another expendable, right? Oh, I am so over Doctor Who, regardless of how much I like Capaldi.

It still disturbs me no end that even though these people are fictional, and don't actually exist, they live in my head as if they were real, and cause such feelings of loss and anger. I may be a little crazy here, people. SciFi channel went stupid, and being desperate for anything scifi to watch, I fell into Torchwood. I have lived to regret it. Seriously.

It's very disappointing. There's so little I actually want to watch on tv as it is, ruining perfectly good shows for what? Some sense of 'I am the big cheese here, I can make these characters behave however I want and forget anything that's gone on before' egotistical crap? I think you're getting moldy there, big cheese.

Seriously. It definitely feels like some kind of bizarre power play at times with the stuff he pulls :/
