I Am Impressed

Don't Ask, Don't Tell signed into law.  START treaty, food safety, and much more.  I was not in the least bit hopeful after the recent election, but even my own state's Republican Senator has stepped up and done the right thing for the country, instead of the wrong thing for the party.  Individual conscience proves stronger than party politics.  I think I'm feeling a little hope again.

I highly approve of this post. <3

And I'm also impressed, not just by DADT, but with all the things that Congress is suddenly just getting done. *_* It's amazing, really, and DADT is the best part. <3

I seriously underestimated Senator Brown. He and several other Republicans are stepping up and voting for the best interests of the country, rather than the dubious best interests of their party. I'm actually pretty surprised by this, but very, very happy. And DADT was a really terrible compromise Clinton was forced to make. Glad it's done.
