Harry Potter

Okay, so I only just started reading them a few months ago, when my homemaker brought me a copy of the first book. I've been borrowing them from Amazon on my Kindle and am now up to book five. The Order of the Phoenix. I gave up after reading the first several pages and skipping to the middle to see if it got better. My god, it is boring as hell. Am I the only one who thinks this? I loved the first three, four was okay, but five is just awful. So I guess I'm over Harry Potter, or does it get better in six and seven? Anyone?

Hi,
Personaly, I quit after Sirus' death. He was my favorite character and I couldn't stand to see him dying. I know that a lot of people don't like the plot of the last books. I remember having read a summary of them on Wikipedia and not having been convinced at all. So no regret for me. :(

Just to tell you that you're not alone. ;)

I didn't get that far. Real life is hard enough. Why do authors think it's cool to kill off favorite characters? Their lives must be soooo happy and full of kitties and lollypops and rainbows and all. Or else they're so miserable they can't stand for anyone else to be happy. Either way, I am a lot more cautious about what I read anymore. Glad I missed the Sirius thing. Btw, I have Flame Beneath the Ashes in my WIP folder, looking forward to the rest of it.
